Intense Pulsed Light Therapy

Levulan Kerastick – An FDA approved treatment used to treat pre-cancerous skin lesions of the face or scalp called actinic keratosis (AK).  Levulan Photodynamic Therapy (LPT) is also used for:

- Preventing skin cancer
- Improving wrinkles
- Shrinking pore size
- Improving skin texture
- Improving pigmentation
- Treating moderate to severe cystic acne

Photo facial – Photofacial is a common spa procedure, utilizing Intense Pulse Light or IPL to safely and effectively treat fine line and wrinkles, irregular skin pigmentation, large pores, acne, rosacea, sun damaged skin, and hair removal.  Results can be visualized after only one treatment; however, a series of treatments is recommended to see the maximum results.  The redness associated with rosecea can often be reduced by 80% or greater. Intense Pulse Light Therapy can be use to treat the face, neck, chest, back and hands. The results achieved from Photofacial is a more youthful, even-toned appearance.

Hair Removal – Replacing the need for shaving, waxing or electrolysis, Pulsed Light Therapy or IPL, has become the treatment method of choice for permanent hair reduction of excess or unwanted hair.  The light beam is delivered in a wider beam to treat larger areas in a single session, which makes the treatment faster and more affordable.  Almost all colors of hair can be treated with IPL.  (Except gray and white)   Treatments are performed in the office with a special device that gently delivers the light energy accurately to the affected area.  The procedure is relatively painless and post procedure discomfort is minimal with immediate recovery.  Multiple treatments are required.

Acne – Not exclusive only to teenagers, many adults also suffer with acne. Pulsed Light Therapy (IPL), works by targeting and destroying the bacteria which infects pores and creates minimal acne and cystic acne. Though IPL does not cure acne, the treatment does help keep acne to a minimum and reduces the risk of scarring to the skin. Unlike medicine, which can have a harmful affect on the body, IPL is the safest most effective treatment available with little discomfort and no patient down time. As a fully-integrated medical spa with a certified physician on-site, customized protocols may be developed for each person.
