Rachel Roberge MSN RN FNP-C
Rachel Roberge is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She graduated with both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi. As a registered nurse, she has years of experience in the intensive care unit taking care of myriad types of patients. She has recovered immediate post-op open-heart patients at the Bay Area Hospital (Heart Hospital campus) as well as caring for those patients suffering from acute exacerbations of chronic conditions such as diabetic coma, alcoholism, and lung disease at CHRISTUS Spohn Memorial Hospital.
As a family nurse practitioner, Mrs. Roberge is qualified to manage acute conditions such as bronchitis and ankle sprains to more chronic illness such as diabetes and high blood pressure. She orders appropriate lab work, imaging, and medications as deemed necessary. She is also available to perform services including women’s health exams and school sport’s physicals.
Having received her education in Corpus Christi and obtaining significant work experience here as well, Mrs. Roberge is quite familiar with the local population and the diseases prevalent in the area, particularly diabetes and its complications.
Currently, she is also a part of the adjunct facility at Texas A&M Corpus for the undergraduate nursing program. Through this avenue and her work at Future Focus Family Medicine, Mrs. Roberge hopes to positively impact, not only future nurses, but more importantly, the lives of people in Nueces County. Her aim is to assist patients in managing their health so that they spend less time in the hospital, maintaining the highest quality of life possible.
